Day 01        Arrive Auckland

On arrival in Auckland, 'The City of Sails', seat in coach passengers will be met by our local representative and privately transferred to your hotel. Self drive clients need to collect the rental car at the Airport and drive to your hotel. Upon arrival, check-in and unwind at your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02        Bay of Islands

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel north over Auckland's Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast. There is the opportunity to view mighty Kauri Trees enroute. The journey continues travelling through Whangarei, Northland's only major city and port, before arriving in the beautiful Bay of Islands. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to learn about New Zealand's historic treaty signed between the British Crown and the Maori Chieftains. Following this, take a 'Hole in the Rock and Cape Brett' cruise. If you wish, you may disembark from this cruise in Romantic Russell and take some time to explore this historic town, returning to Paihia by local ferry at your leisure (ferry ticket included).

Day 03        Bay of Islands - Northland 

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is at your leisure to enjoy the Bay of Islands and Northland. You might like to book an optional Cape Reinga & 90 Mile Beach day tour or take out time to explore historic Russell or Kerikeri. Optional activities not included in the tour price. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04        Bay of Islands - Auckland

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure to further explore this beautiful region. Later this afternoon return to Auckland. On arrival check-in and overnight stay at hotel. 

Day 05       Auckland - Rotorua

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel south to arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Continue over the Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua. Upon arrival, check-in and unwind at your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06        Te Puia - Rainbow Springs Nature Park - Agrodome - Hobbiton Movie Set

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs Nature Park to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show. This afternoon, visit Hobbiton Movie Set for a 2 hour guided tour of ‘Middle Earth’. Return to Rotorua for the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07         Rotorua - Auckland - Queenstown

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and leave early morning for Auckland Airport (215 km / 3 hrs) to board your flight departing for Queenstown. Arrive Queenstown and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08        Milford Sound Cruise (Lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel. Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Buffet lunch is also included on board today. Return to your hotel in Queenstown for a good night's sleep.

Day 09        Queenstown

Breakfast at the hotel. A free day to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungee jumping, jet boating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price. Return to your hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 10        Queenstown – Haast Pass - Glacier Region

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Queenstown this morning and travel along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea to the Haast Pass. Continue up the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges and native forests to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. On arrival, check-in and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11        Glacier Region - Christchurch

Breakfast at the hotel. Travel north to Greymouth today and board the world famous Tranz Alpine train (coach passengers only). Ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthur’s Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps onto Christchurch. Check-in and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12        Christchurch - Half Day City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Head for a half day city tour. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Christchurch. 

Day 13         Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure till time for transfer to Christchurch Airport to board your flight back home.
