Day 1 Paro Airport - Thimphu (55 Kms)
On arrival at Paro Airport and after completing your Visa / Permit formalities, our travel expert will meet and greet you at the meeting point. Proceed for your hotel transfer to Thimphu (2320Mts / 7656Fts, 55 Kms / 01½ to 02 Hrs). Upon arrival at Thimphu, complete the check-in formalities at the reception of the hotel. Relax in your room before Dinner is being served. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 Thimphu - Local Sightseeing
Savor a delectable breakfast and gear up for local sightseeing in Thimphu: -
Come back to the hotel after a mesmerizing day of sightseeing for a delectable dinner & good night’s sleep.
Day 3 Thimphu - Punakha (77 Kms)
After breakfast at 0900 Hrs drive to Punakha (1200Mts / 3936Fts, 77 Kms / 03-3½ Hrs) / Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03-3½ Hrs). Punakha / Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very picturesque with enchanting view of mountains of Bhutan. Stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the Chorten. On arrival, Check-in at hotel. Later visit Punakha Dzong (Is closed in winter months when the monk body are in Punakha). All visits to Punakha Dzong & Monastery are limited till Courtyard only. All tourists visiting Dzongs and temples must be dressed appropriately. No half pants, sleeve less shirts, floaters, etc are allowed. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4 Punakha - Paro (135 Kms)
Relish a hearty breakfast and proceed for your transfer to Paro (2134Mts / 7000Fts, 135 Kms / 05 Hrs), the gateway to the Himalayas. On arrival at Paro, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel reception. Afternoon is free at leisure, you can also interact with the local villagers to familiarize yourself with the culture and traditions of Bhutan. Shop for souvenirs and come back to the hotel in Paro for a hot relishing Dinner and good night’s sleep. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 Paro - Local Sightseeing
After a piping hot breakfast, proceed for Paro Sightseeing covering Drukgyel Dzong - This Dzong has a delightful village nestling at its foot, was built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders. Historically and strategically this Dzong with stood all its glory and was featured in 1914 vide National Geographic magazine. Then proceed for a visit at Ta Dzong (National Museum), after September 2011 Earth quake, Ta Dzong (Paro Museum) had been closed and restyled into an exhibition hall just above the museum. Now the present exhibition hall will be open throughout the week except on Weekends & Government holidays. All tourists visiting Dzongs and temples must be dressed appropriately. No half pants, sleeve less shirts, floaters, etc are allowed). Return to your hotel for a relaxing dinner and comfortable overnight stay. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6 Paro Airport
After a delicious breakfast, it is time to check-out from the hotel. Leave Bhutan behind as you are transferred to the airport for departure to catch a flight back to New Delhi.
